Durrow Centre

Location

History

Prime groundFor almost three decades, the Faith Mission have been organising a convention in the Irish Midlands each summer.  For many of these years, Christian camps have also been held on the same site - that of a farm near Stradbally.  With an increase in attendace at both of these events, as well as a number of other factors, it was felt that a new venue should be sought.  In the providence of God, a 4 acre site on prime agricultural ground was acquired in Spring of 2010.

Accessibility

The new site is about 1.5 miles from Durrow Village, near the Kilkenny/Laois border.  It is situated within sight of the R639 Cork road and is accessed by a short secondary road.
The Durrow Centre is situated in the heart of the Irish Midlands: Kilkenny and Carlow are about 35mins drive away.  Portlaoise is 20mins away.

Facilities

Accommodation

Chalet LayoutVisitors to the Durrow Centre stay in seven chalet blocks, sleeping 70 people in total. Each chalet is divided into three bedrooms, sleeping two, four or six people in bunk beds. Each bedroom has either a seperate shower and toilet, or an ensuite bathroom.  The chalets are wheel chair accessible, with one having full wet room facilities.
