Location
The Newtonstewart Centre is situated in Galloway, South West Scotland affectionately known as the 'Highlands in the Lowlands'. Galloway is an area of unspoiled countryside with a rich variety of scenery including forests, lochs and seashore.
Facilities
Accommodation:
for up to 40 people in 4 dormitories, central heating throughout and a generous
supply of hot water to shower and toilet facilities ensures all year round
comfort!
Conference Hall: adjacent to dorm block comprises: a fully
equipped kitchen, washing up area and laundry room, dining area and conference
hall with seating capacity for 150-200.
Games Hall: containing table tennis tables, pool table and a
selection of games equipment.
Grounds: the Centre is set in a 6 acre landscaped park
providing ample space for caravans with electric hook up, motor homes, tents and
an area for outdoor games.

Local Attractions
Galloway Forest Park (the largest in Britain) offers splendid opportunity for mountain biking on its freshly created tracks known as the 7 Stanes and suitable for all levels. Some of the best hill walking can be attempted in the Galloway hills with the highest mountain peak `The Merrick' in South West Scotland on the door step. Newton Stewart 1 mile from the Centre is a small market town offering a variety of shops and eating places and within easy access are water sports, ice rink, pony trekking, fishing, beaches, ferries to N. Ireland and much more....!
