West Irish District

The West Irish District covers Counties Tyrone and Fermanagh in Northern Ireland and County Leitrim and a small part of County Cavan in Eire.

George and Andrea Conn presently superintend the district. Anne Brown is assisting us with district work, taking part in two meetings each week and helping with visitation.

Our Work Involves:

Visiting about fifty Prayer Unions (interdenominational prayer groups) who meet regularly specifically to pray for the work of The Faith Mission. For details of your nearest group contact headquarters.

  • Conferences and Conventions - to bring dynamic, relevant Bible teaching and encouragement to Christians.
  • Visitation of Prayer Union members
  • Gospel Missions
  • Door-to-door evangelism
  • Church Services, Family Services, Church Mid-week meetings
  • Ladies' Meetings
  • School Assemblies and Scripture Unions
  • Children's Clubs
  • Summer Camps
  • Youth Events

After conducting summer missions in Derrygonnelly and Garrison and having the fourth annual Bible Weekend in Arney outside Bellanaleck, we now have two ladies to work in this West Fermanagh area to follow up contacts, reach new folk and work alongside the churches already in these villages and townlands. Their names are Heather Wilson and Cherith Anderson. They have just completed two years of study in our Bible College and are looking forward to this project. They are also doing some further study at the Bible College, but hope to get openings into schools, church activities, homes and wherever opportunities present themselves. We value prayer that God will richly bless their efforts and many others will be touched as a result.

Jenny Kilpatrick is based in Eglish and we rejoice how schools have opened in Co Tyrone and Co Armagh for her to reach Bible Explorer RE lessons to primary school children P5 - P7. She is currently in four schools for the five week series and has openings into other schools for the new year. We praise God for how this ministry has opened up.
